Torque transfers front to rear and side to side according to real-time sensing at the wheels.
- Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System senses traction loss at the rear wheels and diverts torque to the rear axle. While power doesn’t transfer side to side, it greatly enhances traction compared to just front-wheel drive.

In 2018, four Honda models can be equipped with one of Honda’s all-wheel drive systems.- The 2018 Honda HR-V is a compact crossover that offers Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System in the LX, EX, and EX-L Navi trim levels.
- The 2018 Honda CR-V, one of the most award-winning and best-selling SUVs in North America, offers Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System in the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels.
- The 2018 Honda Pilot takes control even further. LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels have i-VTM4 AWD available, while the Elite trim comes standard with it.
- The 2018 Honda Ridgeline pickup also offers an AWD option. RT, RTS, Sport, RTL, and RTL-T trim levels have Intelligent Variable Torque Management(i-VTM4) available, and the Ridgeline RTL-E comes standard with the AWD system.
