2016 Honda Civic

The 2016 Honda Civic is the 10th generation of Civics. And in all that time, the car has been improving, both inside and out. What does this mean for you? It means that the current model is the result of decades of research and improvement, making it the best, safest, most comfortable Civic yet. Just what can you expect from the 2016 Civic? Let’s take a look.

Types of Honda Civic

When we say, “Honda Civic,” it can be somewhat of a general term, applying to several different types of car in the Civic family. So what are your options if you want a 2016 Civic? The main choice is between the two-door Civic Coupe, and the four-door Civic Sedan. The Coupe is obviously a bit smaller and sportier, but still has seating for 5. There’s also the 5-door hatchback, which is a roomier car with bigger trunk space. There are also differences in fuel. In addition to a regular Civic, you can get one that runs on compressed natural gas, which is cheaper, but needs to be refueled at a separate, natural gas station. Or you can get a Civic Hybrid, which runs on a combination of gas and electric power, and gets a significantly higher MPG.

Exterior Features

So those are your options for the type of Civic you can get… but what does the car come with? The main highlight of the 2016 Civic is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine on models EX-T and above. This makes for better cruise efficiency and higher overall performance. There are also a variety of other features on the 2016 Civic, such as a capless fuel system. Rather than constantly having to remove the gas cap before you fuel your vehicle—and then risking forgetting to put it back on, driving with the cap open, or worse yet, losing the cap at the station—the Civic features a fuel filler that opens on contact with the gas nozzle, and closes again when it’s removed, for a simple and clean refueling every time. The Civic Touring model also features windshield wipers that can automatically sense when it’s raining, and keep your windshield clear accordingly. This means no longer having to adjust the level from slow to fast and back while driving, as the rain level fluctuates. You can also increase your car’s visibility, as well as your own visual clarity, with LED Daytime Running Lights and LED brake lights. Automatic daytime lights help other cars to see you sooner, helping you avoid collisions and other dangers.

Interior Features

Models EX-T and above feature heated seats in the front, with three different heating levels. The Touring model even features heated seats in the back as well. The car also comes with 60/40 split rear seats, which allow 2/3 of the rear seats to be folded down for extra cargo space. And power seats allow both the driver and front passenger to adjust the seat level and positioning to their specific comfort level. The 2016 Civic is also set for entertainment. A 7-inch display with touchscreen is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so that you can connect your phone to the car and operate a selection of features, hands free. And the Driver Information Interface provides you with song information, caller ID, and more, right on the dashboard behind the steering wheel. The 2016 Honda Civic is the culmination of 10 generations of auto engineering. Come by Jay Wolfe Honda and let us find the Civic that’s right for you.
