What Are the Signs of Brake Issues?

They operate by squeezing soft metallic friction material – brake pads – against a hard metal surface – brake rotor. The friction causes your vehicle to slow down but also causes the brake pads to wear. That means over time, you’re going to have brake issues. Do you know what to expect when your brakes are worn? Squealing noise when pressing the brakes
The most common concern you come across with brakes is a squealing noise. It can mean many different things, including worn-out brake pads. When your brakes squeal just a few times when your vehicle is cold, it’s probably nothing to be concerned about – moisture causes that noises sometimes. But if it persists or gets louder the longer you drive, it could be a sign you need your brakes inspected or replaced. If left too long, it can cause more extensive, and expensive, brake issues. If there’s a rough grinding noise when you apply the brakes, it’s no laughing matter. That usually indicates that your brake pads are worn out and need to be replaced, but the grinding could mean your rotors are getting damaged as well.
